what can I do with information I entered that shows only on a frozen mostly orange screen?

It happened when I attempted to add Francis Asbury (later Albert) Prickett as a son of Jamess (Prickett-130) and it didn't like the parens in the middle name so I changed it, I think to "Asbury Albert."   I believe that's when it turned yellow and froze.  I had entered a lot of biographical material for Francis and I hate to have to re-do it.

From your description I would say the information is lost.  But I would say to use this as a lesson learned about computers.  Hit the save button more often.  For example, when you are making a new profile, just fill-in what is necessary to establish a new profile and once you have this you can write some biographical information.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  Good luck.

Clear answer -- I should also have written the biography in my word processor, then pasted it in when finished.
Patricia,

if you're using Word, your paste will include code that may not be compatible with Wikitree and your results may look funky. Use Notepad or the Mac equivalent instead of Word.
