PPP merge issue. Merging a known name Jenkins into Unknown profile?

I don't understand this one.  Can someone explain and merge this the correct way?  I don't even know why it is project protected.  Message I received is below:

Unknown-310660 is project protected. This means that it cannot be merged into any other profile. Profiles need to be merged into it instead. Click here to reverse the merge so that Jenkins-11093 is merged into Unknown-310660.

A John Pierce married a Maud Jenkins.  Somebody is making the point that we don't know this was her maiden name.  Parish registers at that date will just give the bride's current name, without saying whether she was a spinster or a widow.

A married name shouldn't be entered in the LNAB field, even if it's all we have, because it leads to people hunting for the parents by the wrong name (and quite often they find some).

On the Jenkins profile, we have a father Michael Jenkins (Jenkins-11094) b. 1560 d. 1596.   Does that show LNAB should be Jenkins?  Do we want a source to show that they are father and daughter before merging into Jenkins?

I think not only should a source be found for the father-daughter relationship but also why he is named Michael Courtney Jenkins, when more than 1 personal name is virtually unknown in this time period?

The same goes for Maud 'Elizabeth'- it rings some alarm bells, that maybe at some stage they were two different women? I'd also query whether the husband John was really knighted.

I've run into issues with the Pierce/Peirce/Pearce families before and a reliance on the works of a Frederick Pierce (?) that are full of inaccuracies and I wonder if some of the details are originally from those works?

Project Protection was added to the profile a while ago, I suspect, since it is an orphaned profile and has no project information on the profile.
