New resource for Austrian research

There is a new publication for doing research in Austria and the former Austro-Hungarian empire. It covers church records (Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish), civil records, military records, and more. It covers the major record repositories, maps and gazetteers. It has an interview with Felix Grundacker, the creator of the Genteam website (which also discussed). There are chapters on each Austria state, and the former crown lands. There are a number of case studies, such as you know only only your ancestor came from “Austria,” you know your ancestor came from a specific crown land, and other subjects.

The title is Austrian Family History Resarch - Sources and Methodologies. It is available from the Family Roots Publishing Co. The price is quite nominal.
