How do I add or search for a dit name?

I am trying to search for Beauvais dit Emery and Beavais dit St. James in wikitree but it just isn't working.  I get nothing matches.  It is very frustrating.  I know it says check Quebecois project but I can't find the answer in there either.

If entered correctly "dit" names are entered in the Other last names field. Only one surname is entered for the person, no hyphen or the "dit(e)" is attached in the surname field  There is discussion in the project section discussing dit names, see: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Quebecois
