I never heard of any of them going backward from the Clack family

It's interesting because although I have that same Jackson line as you do, David, my Cook connections must be closer because it shows me as 18 degrees removed via my Cook ancestry.

Charles Tiffany and I have  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wiswall-16 in common. Thomas was m 10th Great-Grandfather and was Charles Tiffanys 4th Great-Grandfather. It completely makes sense why I have always been attracted to those little blue boxes and why Tiffany blue is my favorite color. Guess some thing are in the genes.

You have probably figured out by now that the Wikitree "Connection Finder" calculation is different from the "Relationship Finder" calculation.

The first one is more of "six degrees of separation" amusement.  It might include connections via marriage, as well as blood relation.

You can do a search on wikitree, to find the calculators for each.
