I've been to the page where I'm to upload my DNA profile but can't figure it out. How does it work?

On WikiTree, we don't upload our DNA data. Instead, we just enter the information about our DNA test - the testing company, kind of test and the test #and name used for that particular test. You can enter as many tests as you have taken. Plus, you can enter your GedMatch information if you have uploaded to that site.

On your profile page, look at the buttons on the upper right. One of them says "Add". The first item in the drop down list is DNA. Click on that and follow the instructions. Once you have entered your information give it a couple of days to populate the appropriate profiles of your ancestors - if you have entered your ancestors at this time. If not, as you add your parents, grandparents, etc. the DNA will automatically appear on their pages.

Good luck and welcome to WikiTree!!

Hello Kristina,

What is the web address for the page where you are trying to upload your DNA?

I believe WikiTree needs to have a message on that page which makes it very clear that you don’t upload your raw DNA (to WikiTree), and provides a link on that page to the instructions for how you to upload to your raw DNA to GEDmatch.com.

The way it works in WikiTree is you select which lab you tested with and add your GEDmatch ID.
