In principle he should be listed in ScotlandsPeople, https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/, but you need some definitive information to identify him.

  • What was his actual given name?
  • When was he born, or alternately, what was his age at death?
  • What was his wife’s name?
  • Did he own any property at his death (therefore do probate records exist)?
  • Have you tracked him in the censuses?

All this information is from the Moray Libindx which holds almost all the genealogy records for the Moray County just search for Moray Libindx click on online Genealogy search, fill in all the information you can (for the above information i just put in Campbell, DoD 1910 Place of Death Lossiemouth) then click search records, if it doesn't work you need to disable the pop-up blocker.  I would put in the link but i can't paste to this box
