How do I get my Ancestry DNA results loaded into GED and then compare them to those on WikiTree

Wikitree does NOT accept raw DNA Data so there is no way to compare any DNA to any matches at Wikitree.

Wikitree just needs the details of your tests (company, type of test and ID number if appropriate) and then suggest those POSSIBLE people who may be related.

As for GEDmatch you need to make an account there and upload your DNA - it may take up to 2 days for the upload to be processed.

And on Gedmatch you can compare your DNA to those who have done tests with other companies such as FT DNA, 23&me and My Heritage.

If you are logged into GEDmatch, then if you go to a WikiTree profile with two or more auDNA testers then in you can use the [compare] link to the right of the GEDmatch ID to compare two GEDmatch IDs via WikiTree.

For example, login to GEDmatch, then go to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Thompson-31031 then under “DNA Tested” click on the [compare] links to the right of A399379 and T076658
