How can we clean up profiles like "Unknown Indian"?

Wikitree has many profiles with names like 'Unknown Indian,' 'Indian Maiden,' 'Cherokee Indian,'  and so on.  Most of these profiles are for the unknown parents of early Native Americans and have little to no information and no sources other than unsourced family trees from other sites.  Is any one else interested in cleaning up these profiles?  My personal preference would be to merge most of them away if they cannot be identified by name and sourced.  They don't add anything to Wikitree and often are part of disproven and/or mythical "Native American" trees.

The example below is the supposed parent of man who appears in no records until he was about 50 years old. His parents are completely unknown.

Kathie, how many of these have you found so far?

There are about 150 profiles with a first or last name of "Indian."  Some may be identifiable as real people, but most look like this:

Cherokee was born about 1795. Cherokee Indian ... She passed away in 1838.[1]

A source for this information is needed.

Part of my concern is that profiles like this suggest that there is some sort of evidence that an actual person had a Native American parent, when that person’s profile should read “Nothing is known about XXX’s mother.  Family stories say that she was a Cherokee Indian but there is no evidence to support this claim.”  Other profiles represent actual Native American people, (because everybody has a father and mother) but absolutely nothing is known about them.

Kathie, I think most of them might be worth merging away. One exception I can think of is if the profile is serving as a parent of known siblings, who without a parent, would be detached from each other.

And as you know, if we know their tribe/nation name, that should be their LNAB.

Lastly, THANK YOU for helping clean out the debris!
