Hi Amy, I cannot find an exact date or location but they are shown as married on the 1940 Census of Cave City, Barren, Kentucky.  No children at that time.

Amy - the 1940 census was enumerated April 11, 1940.  It shows Virgie was born Edmonson Kentucky, she was 22 yrs old and was a saleslady in a retail groc. store.  The only children I have seen are Rebecca born 1942 died 1943 and Michael born 1944 died 1985.
