GMD lookup request: Thomas Tuck

+3 votes
I'll give a shiny gold star to someone who would be kind enough to tell me what Anderson has for Thomas Tuck. I found him in a 1636 list of landholders at Salem, but I feel like his name may have been added later, and there's a GM Newletter entry that says there's a chance this is Thomas Tracy. Thanks in advance.

He migrated before 1641 so should be in the Great Migration Project.  I'll add the project box for you, someone else will come along later and add PGM as the co-manager.

If you're going to work on him, add yourself as manager.

Hi Barry,  Glad to do a look up for you...

Tuck, Thomas

Unknown; 1636; Watertown, Hampton

There are several sources - but most not fleshed out. WaBOP 4; GDMNH 55, 695; HmTR 40; MBCR 1:236, 376; NHPP 31:79 - 81; EIHC 53:246-47; Joseph Dow, "Tuck Genealogy: Robert Tuck of Hampton, N. H. and His Descendants. 1638-1877" (Boston 1877).  (Evidence not provided for Gorleston, Suffolk, as English origin.)

There you have it.  Do you know what all those source short-cuts mean?  If not, let me know in a comment here and I'll flesh them out for you on the Thomas Tuck profile.

Heres the key to the sources Anderson uses in the Great Migration. Most should be there.

Thanks! Yes, I've used Anderson's codes before, and I'm glad there's so much!
You’re welcome.  Thanks for the star!

And thanks for the Anderson link, Anne.

It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood... :)
One more question, if it's not too much: Thomas married around 1746 his second wife Joane, who was recently widowed. I wonder if Anderson lists Joane's first husband, George Harris?
GMD: Harris, George Unknown origin, 1636 settled Salem  [STR 1:20, 23, 50, 65, 103, 123, 124: EQC 1:3, 12, 16, 28, 33, 45, 49, 197; Perley 1:407
Terrific! Thanks, Anne!
I've just added him to Puritan Great Migration Project and his profile definitely needs a little help.

Hmmm, Cheryl, I looked at all of the sources you listed that are freely available, and they all pertain to Robert Tuck, who already has a profile:

Did you copy the stuff Anderson had for Robert by mistake? Or did Anderson maybe list the Robert sources under Thomas by mistake?

I'll reply since I'm right here. I think she copied Robert instead of Thomas. Tuck thomas. Unknown origins. 1636 Salem. STR 1:25; EQC 1:14, 197, 3:421; Perley 1:399-401
Okay, thanks again to both of you.
oh my goodness, yes I did copy from Robert... I am so sorry I caused you extra work, Barry.  Sorry I wasn't more careful.
