Came across this profile today when searching for potential matches. I know that Wiki likes to pick up orphaned profiles, but this tells you nothing, do the same rules apply?

Since the Profile manager and the Profile name are the same, it would be best to try sending a private message to him, asking if he plans to do anything with the profile, encouraging him to contibute (volunteer), etc.

Since John's last posting was in 2012 it is quite likely he is alive.

With those things in mind (living person) and the importance of privacy, there is not much else to be done here.

Thanks, I will try that.
Actually, this John Holland is a guest member; he was never confirmed. I wonder how many such profiles exist?
I wonder myself.  I was under the impression there is a certain time limit for these profiles.
Hmmh,

Me too. I can not tell of this profile is part of my family or not.

For the moment I have created another profile, I can merge if and when this person responds.

Thanks,
why?  There is only supposed to be one profile per person according to wikitree.

As this person is still considered a guest, and IF he is part of your family, send him an invitation to be a family member.

Mary,

He may or may not be part of my family, I can not tell with such scant information.
whoops!  I left out a word......
I have done as Keith has said and corresponded with the profiler, we will wait and see if they respond.
