I have a document stating that a Charles Becker built a grocery store on the west side of louisville in 1878.  I need to confirm the accuracy of that statement and will take any information leading to historical significance of the building he constructed.

He's listed in the 1879 Louisville City Directory (can be searched at Ancestry) as Becker, Charles G (Becker & Sohns) res. at 66 Duncan near 18th. It doesn't say where the business is or what kind. There may be an ad for the business, but it didn't come up in the search.

I found a listing for the business Becker and Sohns 104 19th corner of Duncan, under the heading Retail Grocers. p 759.  "Caron's Directory of the City of Louisville, Kentucky." 1879
