No 100 Contributions September 2019 Badge?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I am worried. Last night, I was trying really hard to contribute as much as I could to get the September 100 badge for 2019. I got to 100 contributions around 10:30 PM PDT, which I thought would be okay, because it was before midnight. I know that this took place late-in-the-night, but I was trying really hard because I really wanted this badge, and I wanted to try to do a good job.

Is there someway I can still retrieve this badge, or is it too late because it is October 1st? I will try next time to do my 100 contributions sooner, but I didn't have a lot of material this month to work on. I am sorry, but I am worried, because I thought I made the 100 contributions within the right time limit. I just wanted to do a good job.

Hello Ben.

Timestamp for contributions uses GMT.

That is why, up to this point, you have made 85 contributions in October!

To see how many contributions you have in the current month, just open the "My WikiTree" drop-down menu and select "Badges" (the second option).

It's okay!

So, Wikitree runs off of GMT - 7 hours ahead of pacific time. That means that when it's midnight for Wikitree's servers, it's only 5 PM Pacific - so you have to get all 100 contributions before 5 PM.

That being said, it isn't a badge race - though I know how tempting that can be. I love getting 100 and 1000 badges. Just think - now, you have a head start for October! :)

Yeah, that is true. I just thought missing one would make my profile look bad, because the badge count skipped a month. Missing one kind of stands out. That is good to know about the time, I was unaware of that.

Thank you for the reassurance. I will make sure to do it before 5:00 PM GMT next time, and I will do a better job.

You are nice.
Your profile won't look bad! After you've been here for a while, you will have so many badges you won't even be able to see the one from this month was missing. Don't worry! :)

I suspect the answer is no since this is done on Slovenian time.  But please don't think your work isn't appreciated.  You will get it next month and months after that.  You should join the source-a-Thon too which starts this weekend.  It is a great way to get your contributions up and to figure out how this all works by doing a few strangers as well as your own family.

So, actually, when Wikitree servers reset, it's 1 am in Slovenia, since it's in GMT +1!
Thank you, sir. I will look into that.

Thank you for your time.

Good heavens, Ben, you just joined WikiTree.  No one is going to judge you for not having a pile of badges.  And as others have said, it won't be long before you find the badge section of your profile more filled out.

I do have one suggestion.  If you would choose to make your profile more open, then others could see who your ancestors are.  That might result in more contacts.
