Remove a Trusted person for not actually being trustworthy. Help

Please,

My research on my relatives is based on facts, the person in question who at first seemed legitimate, is now changing family information, not as it's incorrect but simply because it doesn't look good to have amoung others a special needs relative.  Sadly this too was the very reason my grandfather denied having a sister.

If he wishes to make his own family tree instead of hanging onto mine, I'd need to find out how I may remove him from the Trusted category.

Thankyou.

So sorry that you're dealing with this situation, Rod. I hope you've been communicating politely with this other member, in spite of your feelings.

To remove another member from the trusted list of a profile, go to the profile and open the privacy tab. Scroll down the page to the person's image and name. Check the box in front of their picture, then hit the big button that says "Remove Selected People."

For assistance in resolving this situation over the longer term, see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Problems_with_Members
Thank you, I couldn't find any answers until after I sent out the question.

I'm rather saddened that anyone would want to pick and choose their relatives.  Alternate truths are quite rude.

Thank you so much!

Hi Rod, I am sorry you're going through this. You may need to file a Mentor Intervention Request.

He can't make his own family tree here on wikitree. Any profile he creates for a person that you have already created will have to be merged with yours. Number one rule on wikitree-- one profile for a person

Noone OWNS their tree here on wikitree.

We are building one global tree and as Eddie said, there is only ONE profile per person. We do not build lots of small trees.

If someone is changing the details then you should email them and ask them for proof or sources for why they are making those changes.

You should then try to come to some agreement. That is why this is a collaborative global tree.

If that does not work, then you can file an MIR.
