Hi,

There were five Davis males and a wife of one, who went to South Africa from England with the 1820 settlers. They are quite possibly the first. Check out a website called 1820settlers.com

I hope that helps.

Namaste,

This question was asled by another researcher.  She said the LDS Church sent many missionaires between 1810 to 1900 all over the world.  You might check their archives.  Her Davis was not related to my line and he went to Australia in 1830.  She also suggested ship logs of passanger.
