Seeking any info on Matilda E. Ayers (Lincoln, Tennessee)

I hope I'm doing this right - I am working on my 3rd great grandmother Matilda E. Ayers (wife of Silas Coleman Ross) and am trying to find her family. She was apparently born in Fayetteville, Lincoln County, Tennessee in 1825, and died in Dellrose in 1901. I've seen the Ayers of Tennesse discussed here already but cannot find any connecting thread between them, or anyone else that could Matilda's parents for that matter. Anyone who might have ideas or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Sarah, and welcome. The best way is to start with your parents profiles, adding sources, then go to the grandparents and on up. Sources are very important. Family trees are not usually sources, but may give hints of where to look next.

If you get stuck try adding siblings, you might find other info.
