How do I go about erasing a mistakenly created profile?

I mistakenly created Jones-85048 which is a poor copy of Jones-33111. I'd like to simply erase 85048. How do I go about this?

The other thing you can do when you unintentionally create a duplicate profile is to use this as an opportunity to create a profile for another descendant or ancestor of the person.  

Looking at the Jones-30111 profile for James Jones, there are two sources which list that James Jones and Abigail Garfield had a son, Lemuel, who was born in 1729.  No one had created a profile for Lemuel, so I just edited the Jones-85048 (i.e. the duplicate profile you had created for James Jones) so that this is now a profile for Lemuel.  It is an open profile, so anyone can add to it/edit it:

You can't delete, just merge it into the correct profile.
