Did your Polish relatives marry into the Barnett name, or change it from something else when they left Poland? If so, what was that name?
Our original name was BANDRYMER (also spelled Bandrimer or Bandremer) Name was changed around 1895 or so by earliest known family members arriving in NYC
Our family changed their name into barnett on arrival to Britain, We know the village they came from in Poland but not the original name. The Village was originally in Russia. Are you related to Soloman Barnett
Yes, I do have a Soloman Barnett in my family tree. He was a baker as were his brothers. He owned a bakery in Utica, NY I believe after moving from NYC. Children were Julia, Nathan and  Mollie. He remarried to Jennie Abelow.

does this relate to your family?
Sorry no, my great grandfather died in England in 1920 and had six children. Our Soloman was a property developer. Sorry I cant add to your search. Best of luck with the search though

I'm trying to find out if there's truth to the McKenna and Barnett  story in the book Rattlesnakes, Ghosts and Murderers?  It's supposed to have taken place in the old west.   But does anybody know if it's factual in any way?  I'll read the posts for answers.
