I am looking for descendants of Jacob Kolle (aka Jacob Kelly) who was born in Blaubeuren, Germany and immigrated to South Carolina in 1752.

If you have a solid paper trail tracing back to him and have done (or have a family member that has done) an autosomal DNA test, please contact me.  I am trying to determine if my ancestor William R. Kelly perhaps descends from this family.

Curious. The answer is no, but I am descended from Johann Peter Köhli, 1780-1829, who was born in Kallnach, Bern, Switzerland, and who came with his family to America in 1818.  This name became Americanized as Kelly, similar to yours!

Hi Peter, that's interesting.  Until I came upon the Kölle family that came to South Carolina, I thought a Kelly was Irish!  This family is documented in the church book at Blaubeuren with the name spelled Köelle.  On the ship's manifest, they were recorded as Kehle.  Then they became Kelly in America.
