I am looking for descendants of the Curtin Family who lived in Massachusetts late 1800's early 1900's.

Two brothers and one sister of the Curtin family emigrated from Ireland in the late 1800's.

They settled in or around Northampton, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, USA.

i)   James M Curtin (1866-1954) married Ellen T Curtin (Tracey) (1866 - 1934)  who also emigrated from Ireland. They had six children:-

Catherine E Curtin, born circa 1894;

Mary L Curtin, born circa 1895;

John T Curtin, born circa 1897, married Mary M Curtin (??)

Francis W Curtin, born circa 1898;

William H Curtin, born circa 1901, married Gertrude Curtin (??)

Howard M Curtin, born circa 1904, married Alice L Curtin (Rubeck)

ii) Delia E Curtin (Mahar) born circa 1887, married John J Mahar. They had seven children-

John T Mahar, 1904, married Agnes J Maher (Anderson);

Anna Mahar; 1905

Mary E Mahar, 1907;

Catherine L Mahar, 1909;

Margaret Mahar, 1910 - 1913;

Margaret Mahar, 1915;

Alice Mahar 1920

iii) William J Curtin, born circa 1873, married Mary V Curtin (Burke). They had three children - 

Elenora Curtin, 1910;

Margaret V Curtin, 1912, married William Murphy;

Michael Francis (Franny) Curtin, 1919 -1943.

I have tried this site before without success.

I obtain better results by using :-

ancstry.com: findmypast.ie: familysearch.org: myheritage.com

I have quite a lot of detail regarding my ancestors found from these sites, but when I enter this same detail to roots.com, I receive a message that they have no record!!!
Sorry that site hasn't been more helpful to you. It's been a wealth of info for me. I haven't tried ''findmypast' but will in the near future...thanks for the insight to that site! Good luck with your research!!

this Curtin line (James Curtin/Ellen Tracy) is from CO Tipperary.  I have some information.  Quote File 23.
