The DAR has a collection of over 40,000 digitized family bible records. See this article This article is from 2015. Some state libraries/archives, such as Virginia, have extensive collections as well. There are many others.

Hi Eugene, you would want to contact museums, archives, historical societies, and libraries in the geographic area where the family originated.

If they are not interested in the physical bible, they would likely accept scanned copies of the cover page of the bible as well as the pages with genealogical information.

If the binding needs to be repaired, you might actually have the pages scanned and share PDFs with family.  Or, as someone else said, at least the cover and any hand-written notes it contains, such as genealogical information.
