I have created a profile for a very well documented relative who holds a nobility title, how to add this title to his name? should someone in a nobility project do it?
I will add more sources and family as i work on this profile.
He is the 1st Marqués (Marquis) de Pinar del Río.

Using the prefix or nickname fields isn’t a very clean way of dealing with titles. A better way would be a separate field that could be replicated as needed for multiple titles, and dates for when they held those titles. Titles are not necessarily acquired at birth, and sometimes are relinquished before death.

I believe Marqués belongs in the prefix. In the bio you explain that he was the first. Some people would put de Pinar del Rio in the suffix. I usually say things like this aloud to help determine if it makes sense. I usually just put Jr. in the suffix.

I do not have a strong opinion on these things.  (It just has to feel uncomfortable to fit these things into data fields I guess!) But I do notice what other people do, so as not to get into distractions about it...

...And I think they are typically putting this in the "nickname" field (re-purposing it for aristocrats) : 1st Marqués de Pinar del Río
