I started a new Project, Lees of Virginia.  Any advice or if you would like to join Lee's of Virginia Project.

Given the prominence of the Lee family in Virginia history, this family is an obvious topic for the Virginia project. I believe that profiles for a some of the most notable Lees of Virginia have the Virginia Project as a profile manager, but I only found three:

Profiles for some of the other Lees are in serious need of attention, due in no small part to having had numerous duplicate profiles created for them. If you'd like to get involved with giving tender loving care to activities like cleaning up gedcom clutter (and other weird detritus) and tidying up sources in profiles such as  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lee-12894 , https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lee-527 , and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bland-11 (the last a Lee by marriage), or cleaning up clutter and adding reliably sourced content to profiles like Lee-1411, there's plenty of opportunity for you. Do introduce yourself to the Virginia project leadership and let them know that you are working on this family.

You might like to take a look at this first:

And at its category, showing that it covers all over the world:

If you would still like to start a mini project for Lees in Virginia, it would probably be best to create a freespace page and get it linked to the Lee Name Study. smiley
