Palace Guard to Kaiser Wilhelm II?

Ernest Möller 1890-1974 was someone I knew. In researching for his profile I've been unable to find birth or baptismal records in Germany and I believe it would help to have someone with more familiarity with German records help in the search. It was said he was part of the palace guard for the Kaiser and I wonder if records for that guard exist and where they might be found.

Also, his place of birth is uncertain. What information is available is on the profile. An image of his 1917 alien registration is here (Ancestry subscription req'd to view) which lists parents and a town of birth, Lutterbitz (?) which I am unable to find.

Many thanks in advance.

You can contact the Bürgeramt Kiel ema@kiel.de to at least rule out Kiel as birthplace. There is a Lutterbek about 11 mi northeast of Kiel, it's part of Amt Probstei with a bunch of other towns. Their email address for information is info@amt-probstei.de

Addendum: His name was most likely Ernst in Germany  which was Anglicized to Ernest.

Thank you, Helmut and George below. In reviewing further his alien registration it appears the document was likely completed by the postmaster who witnessed it as it is not the hand of a 27 year old and could explain the variant spelling. It also reveals his brothers already in WWI on the German side as August, Otto and a third which I have not yet deciphered.

Searching Meyers Gazatteer for “lutterb*”, the asterisk is for a wildcard search, gives three results: Lutterbeck, Lütterbeck, and Lutterbek, but no Lutterbitz. The search results link is here https://s.meyersgaz.org/search?search=lutterb* The search does not need the diacritical mark (umlaut). “Luterb*” returns no hits. “L*bitz” returns a few hits, but nothing close to Lutterbitz.
