How do you check for merges when the spelling of the last names is different: Salle v. Sallee?

Hi Vic,

There's no way to do this automatically (unless the matches have the alternate spellings in the Other Last Names field). To be comprehensive, you'll need to go to the search page and enter all versions.

Someday we'll add a "soundex" feature to FindMatches.
