I need to merge Martin-2386 to Martyn-690 but a previous match has been rejected. The data in Martin-2386 has more information.

How can the merge be initiated, please?

Megan, it appears that you are the one who rejected the merge and said that they do not represent the same person.

If you have changed your mind and now are convinced that they are the same person then you can first remove the rejected match.  After that you will be able to propose the merge.  If you have any problem doing this, post back here for help with it.

Megan the merge goes into the profile with the correct LNAB, regardless of which has more information. The info of both profiles will end up on the one remaining profile.

The parents are not married to each other.  That is probably part of the reason for some suspicions on a merge.

Martin-2386 does not mention a maiden name of Bowerman, as Martyn-690 states.

I don't see that they are ready for merging, or if they are merged, then the question about parents needs to be documented in the profiles of this person and the possible parents.

After reading more thoroughly both profiles, it looks like they are saying the same thing, that the father is unknown, with speculation about both men stated in the profiles

It would seem that her maiden name should be Martyn, with the birth source stated in both profiles.  Martyn-690 in the Sources has confusing wiki tree ID links stating that 'Richard Thomas' which should be 'Richard Thomas Bowerman'

Maybe the merge could go forward, but I don't see anything compelling to prove who her father was.  If her mother had the child before she married Bowerman, birth source doesn't state a father, then no father should be attached.  Speculation on the two possible fathers should be included in a 'speculative or conflicting father' section with the Wikitree ID and names and information.

Bowerman could be attached as non-biological, but it all needs to be explained in the biography
Looks like the other PM removed the rejected match and created an unmerged match. You should communicate and collaborate with the other PM to decide how to proceed,
