How do I delete one of my grandfathers?

New to Wiki Tree and created a grandfather when he already existed.  Koehler-416 is my grandfather with a few easily corrected errors.  I created Koehler-958 and he needs to go away.  It would be best if they could be merged but I have been trying a bunch of stuff for two days without success.  Help!

Have you started an unresponsive profile manager request?

You have to do some things, but meanwhile I would re-propose that merge.

Hi Glenn, welcome aboard.  As you probably already know, the process here is to merge duplicate profiles for the same person, not to delete one.  Don't know what you've tried, but, as Susan says, the process would be for you to propose a merge of Koehler-958 into Koehler-416, and then wait for approval from the other Profile Manager.  I see that he hasn't been active for about a year and 9 months, so you may not get a response.  If that's the case, the target profile is Open privacy, and after waiting 30 days you should be able to complete the merge yourself without his approval, and correct any errors in the resultant profile.  You'll then become a co-manager of the resultant.  It takes a little while, but that's the system.

Koehler-416 has the PM C. Walton; you are not C. Walton, you are Glenn B. Knight. You will have to apply for a Merge. That will be at the bottom of the profile of YOUR grandfather, and it's PENDING MERGES, and you want to INITIATE a merge.
