Can anyone help identify the correct parents of James Robinson.  He's currently connected to a Connecticut family, and his name doesn't appear in any of the family records.

Maybe he belongs to an Israel Robinson from Virginia?

Thanks!

Just a comment that Frederick County, Virginia wasn't settled until the 1730's and was considered by the Shawnee Indians to be theirs for quite some time after that. James was not born there.  Most of the early settlers of the area got their land from Jost Hite, but I don't find anyone named Robinson in the list of those who received early grants from his lands. There is no one named Robinson on the list of Frederick County voters in 1758.
Great, thanks Kathie.  That will need to be corrected to I guess.  There is another misplaced child Marjorie Robinson, who is listed as having born and died in Berkeley Co, VA - so perhaps that's a clue to the correct location.

They may well have died in Berkeley,  but they weren’t born there,

I know almost nothing about Virginia...I guess its good that I'm asking.  I just know that Virginia and Connecticut don't really go together.
Correct, it would be very unlikely for someone to go from Connecticut to Virginia at this time.  Most of the early settlers in this area and down through the Shenandoah Valley came west over what became the Great Wagon Road from eastern Pennsylvania.
