Are members of the Kinsey Family taller than average

William Kinsey in 1846 was 5' 10" which is 5 inches taller than the average for the time,  Jonathan Kinsey in 1810 was 5' 8", again 4 inches taller than average.

My family have an average height of 6' 4" which is 6 inches above todays average.

Are members of your Kinsey Family, primarily those families from the UK tall or short or just average

How Tall are your Kinsey ancestors, or even yourself.

Another slightly taller tham average Kinsey, Moses Kinsey born Shifnal, Shropshire was 5' 81/2" in 1849

Hi Paul, What a fun question to ask. I'm not a Kinsey so won't answer, but I hope you get some good responses.

It would be surprising if Kinsey families were generally taller than average. I don't think the y chromosome controls height (at least on its own).

But maybe I'm wrong, see:

Significant population variation in adult male height associated with the Y chromosome and the aromatase gene.
