Do   you know that John B Williams, father was not John Williams, b 1744 in England? If so, you have a good question.  Write Garcia-489 (manager of both profiles) on his web page and ask him.

John B Williams was my wife's 3rd great grandfather.  I show him born in Allegheny, Madison County, NC on 17 Nov 1777 and died in Ashe, NC on 12 Apr 1871. John B's wife was Jane Baker.  His father was John Williams, born in 1744 in England. John's wife was named Abigail. I have no further details on John Williams.

One of John B Williams children was Henry John Williams 1822-1904, who married Jane Jeannie Wyatt.  Henry John was my wifes 2nd Great Grandfather.

On John FATHER Being John Who was on ship to  America in 1744 I can find no Proof except name is same! In 1790 there was around 75-100 John Williams in North Carolina .

So the name is USED many times that is why so hard to prove a father. There is a "JAMES WILLIAMS " large family very area John is  found  in later! He is has my vote for best prospect and I have done  my research Well.I have a book on Amazon called "THE WILLIAMS BURN" about my ancestors  and other Williams in Ashe & Alleghany North Carolina.
