Where can I find information on the McLearn and Savage families?

I am looking for more information on the McLearn and Savage side of my family? The McLearn's married into the Savage's but I don't know any more than a few generations back.

WikiTree IDs for the appropiate profiles are: Henry Savage - Savage-6659 and Elizabeth Savage (formerly McLearn) - McLearn-99.

I would be incredibly grateful for any help as I have hit a brick wall.

Henry Savage died 1968 - Registration Number: 27094, age 82.  That would have him born about 1886.  (Not 1894 as recorded in your tree)

Its quite possible that Elizabeth McCelland was actually McLearn!  Things were written down as they sounded in those days.

Out of interest there is a Henry McLern Savage on the New Zealand register - he died in 1996, Registration 44770.  His date of birth was recorded as 2 September 1917.

I never realised how similar McClelland and McLearn sound especially when said with a Scottish or Southern NZ accent. Your information is very incredibly helpful, I definitely appreciate it.
