Proper Biography Needed - for a concentration camp survivor/notable photographer

Wilhelm Brasse was a Polish professional photographer and a prisoner in Auschwitz because he refused to swear loyalty to Hitler.  He became known as the "famous photographer of Auschwitz concentration camp." His life and work were the subject of the 2005 Polish television documentary film.

His profile was added with only the Wikipedia article as a source and a photo and biography copy/pasted from it.  I have added appropriate categories, but the profile needs sources, a proper biography, maybe other family members added … connecting him would be a real bonus.

This promises to be a very interesting profile to work on - any takers?

There is a Genealogy Bank obituary for him. I can't see it, but there might be interesting tidbits in it.

Do you have a link for the Genealogy Bank record?  I can look it up.
Disregard. I found it.

I have downloaded his obituary to my computer, along with another short article.  Both were published in The State, out of Columbia, South Carolina.  I can either attach the pdf files to his profile page, or send them to who ever would like to have them.  Neither contains any information concerning his family.

Thank you, Candyce. Did it mention how Jaroslaw Mensfelt and Dr Josef Mengele were related to him?

I suspect that the "relation" to Mengele is that Wilhelm had to photograph twin kids, Romas and growth-restricted before Mengele made his "experiments" with them. This was mentioned in German articles I found about him.

In a way, yes, Maggie N.  The obituary mentions Jaroslaw Mensfelt in that he was the Spokesman for the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and was the person who announced Wilhelm's death.
