Mistakenly invited someone to join attached to wrong profile

I invited a found family member to join wikitree attached to a deceased common ancestor, however now I can't change the privacy level and they are no longer on wikitree. Can I remove them from the profile because it looks like it is their profile. I could email them but I need to tell them what I want them to do. What is the best way to remove them or maybe transfer them to their own profile?

That's a tricky situation. Since the profile is now associated with an active user, only the user themselves can take certain actions.

However, since they only took two actions as if they were the deceased person, and those were six months ago, I went ahead and deleted the e-mail address.

The profile is now deactivated. The user can rejoin or you can reinvite them as themselves.
