Advice before adding spouse of this pre-1700 Hughbanks profile?

I can add a spouse to the profile of William Hughbanks. Since I added William is this a problem?

This is who I can add: Mary (unknown) Hughbanks. b. 1701 Talbot, MD d. 1736-1796 not exact.

I can never figure out which project I would contact.

These are the sources I am using:

Information added or confirmed from Vesta Barton Pedigree from Ancestry Tree Info compiled by Ann (Reinhold) O'Rourke (my cousin)

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding?

Thanks for the help.

Richard.

You don't have to contact a project to add a spouse unless the profile is project protected, which it isn't. You are PM so you are free to add other relatives.

The other problem is that sourcing from a family tree is not a valid source.  I did not see any sourcing on family search for a William Hughbanks born in Maryland, but I did see William Ewbanks, christened in Queen Annes, Maryland, married to a Mary, with children William, b May 1738, and Thomas, b Dec 1743

https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?givenname=william&surname=eubanks&birth_place=maryland&birth_year_from=1695&birth_year_to=1700&count=20&offset=0

Your 'other possible duplicate' Eubanks-112 is also not sourced
