As you probably already know, this is an example of a tartan I invented.
Have you seen my Tartan page at:

It has links to webpages with tartan backgrounds I've created, and indicates whether I invented the tartans, or used an official, historical thread count, or guessed at the thread count. Domino's Pizza and the copyright holder for the Christmas Tartan refuse to divulge their thread counts, so I guessed at the thread counts by examining images of the tartans. In some cases, I intentially alter the thread counts by adding and/or subtracting one or two threads, in order to make it equally divisible by four. If the thread count isn't equally divisible by four, it won't tile seamlessly. Most people probably wouldn't notice, but seeing the seam drives me nuts.
