Can't find the 2nd husband of my great aunt Irene Evans

0 votes
My great aunt Irene Evans was married three times. I have unsourced family information on all three and records (census, findagrave, etc) for the 1st -- Dozier Childers -- and the 3rd -- S.C. "Jack" Brantlely, but nothing for the 2nd - Dave Lowi. I have a candidate that matches up with the information I have (See "Research Notes" under Irene's profile), but no tie to Aunt Irene. I found a record of his death that says he was married, but doesn't give the wife's name. One of my family sources says that Dave's sisters didn't like Irene. Maybe they wanted to erase her from the record.

I don't really expect to get unstuck here, but any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Kay. That agrees with notes my father made on the date of their marriage. It's nice to have an official record to cite. Rev. Rigell was the Minister at the 1st Baptist Church of Gasden, Alabama in 1926. It's looking more and more like the Dave Lowi documented in "Research Notes" for Irene is husband No. 2.

Well, I do have lots of Evans in my mothers line, but of course most families do have Evans somewhere. I'll go see if I can find an Irene Evans after I've looked at your Irene.  I'll just make an addition to this answer, positive or negative.

Edit:  Nope, my Evans come from Pa and NJ while your Irene Evans came from Tenn, Ala, and NC.
