I came across a 'tips and tricks' page that includes various search techniques that may assist when using Google as part of our genealogy research. So, I thought I'd share.

Learned a few things, good article!

Regarding name searches and abbreviations, don't forget to try the style of last name, comma, first and middle initials all in quotes.

I usually use duckduckgo.com

While Google usually knows really well what you are looking for, it creates a bubble around what you would usually want to find. If you want to break out of that bubble, duckduckgo is a really good option with pretty good search results.
