Can you have an "event" in WikiTree?

I've found one of my ancestors (a William John Steady) died in 1914 when his boat (HM Verona) hit a German mine off the coast of Scotland. 23 of the crew died and were honoured in Portsmouth. Many of them had plaques put up in their local churches. William's is in All Saints church in Brightlingsea, Essex.

I'm doing some research on this, and thought it would be lovely to have an "event" in WikiTree that would have a writeup about the event, and would tie the profiles of the crew members together somehow rather than just by strictly family ties.

Should I create a Project for this? Or a Thing? Or a Free Space? I don't want to do it the wrong way. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Sounds perfect for a FreeSpace page - which is what you get when you Add a Thing.

A Freespace page would be ideal.  You could write up about the event, then link it to William's profile (and of course anybody else of the crew)
