John Taylor 1486-1534: questionable wife

John Taylor, a priest and a royal official and diplomat with entries in the DNB and ODNB, is currently shown as husband of Susan Rowland. Priests at this time did not marry. (It should probably go without saying that Susan is not mentioned in the DNB, ODNB, etc.) Unless anyone sees good reason not to, I am proposing to detach Susan from him.

It looks as if there are other things wrong with relationships shown for John Taylor. He was born into a humble household in Staffordshire but his father is shown as a Kentishman. Siblings’ profiles raise questions and some are unsourced... My real focus at the moment is on Rowland Taylor the Marian martyr, who has previously been wrongly shown on WT as John Taylor’s son and whom I have detached from John, so I do not plan at present to do more research on John Taylor and his family.

There is too little time to do everything that ought to be done.

I have now detached Susan Rowland from John Taylor.
