Has anyone responded to American Ancestors offer to verify their Mayflower lineage?

On 29-Oct I filled out an online form on the American Ancestors web site listing my lines to two Mayflower passengers. The form said that I would receive a quote in about two weeks but I have not heard back as of today (24-Nov). I am wondering if anyone else tried this and received a response. also wondering how much the quote was.

The Mayflower process, I have heard, can take a long time to get final approval on an application. With the 400th anniversary next year, I suspect they have a lot of applications to process.

I haven't seen this offer, but I have seen their offer of a free guide to proving your Mayflower ancestry, which may be interesting: https://hubs.americanancestors.org/guide-to-proving-your-mayflower-ancestry

If you contact your State Historian, they will give you the exact same information for free!

The Mayflower Society offers a Mayflower Lineage Match, where they will take your proposed Mayflower line (submitted on-line) for $75, and respond whether you have a valid line, and if there are others who have proven the same lineage, beyond the 5th generation. That report usually takes 2-4 weeks, but may be slowed due to the upcoming 400th Anniversary.

I am not aware of any American Ancestors program that does the same thing, unless they are simply supporting the Mayflower Society's lineage match program.

For the doubters, the American Ancestors (i. e. NEHGS) offer to assist with Mayflower heritage can be found at:

https://www.americanancestors.org/Services/lineage-society-applications
This is only available to members, and at an undisclosed cost, which I assume is dependent of what needs to be done to prove the lineage.
And of course WikiTree greatly differs from the Mayflower Society accepted descendants of the Howlands. This is discussed at the following very long g2g thread and also requires reading the involved profiles. https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/729962/signficant-change-made-in-mayflower-descendants-is-correct?show=729962#q729962
It would be good to see this published in one of the major genealogical journals.
My question is does your lineage have to be direct line?  My 7th g uncle married the gg of William Bradford.  I wondered if it is close enough to belong to the Mayflower Society or anything else related to lineage of Mayflower people.
Yes, your line must be a direct line in order to join the Mayflower Society.
