Looking for Parents of Charles Timmons born about 1751

Question

I have been searching for years for the parents of Charles Timmons who married Mary Magdalena Forney on 11 Sep 1793 most likely in Frederick County, Maryland.

His descendants are extremely well documented (well over 1,000).  His wife's ancestors are documented back to the 1400s but he remains a mystery to me (and many other descendants of Charles and Mary (Forney) Timmons.

I have documented everything I know about him on his profile here on wikitree.  I have taken multiple DNA tests and contacted many of my matches.  No one seems to have any concrete information regarding his parents.  DNA tests indicate his ancestry was clearly Irish/Scottish.

Of course everyone has one brick wall that bothers them most.  Otherwise we would all be tracked back to Adam and Eve and none of this genealogy would be necessary. :-)

This is a challenging one... LOL!

The best I can suggest/mention is the possibility of a last name variation like "Timmins", Timons", etc...

This has always been a possibility regarding my Lineage search (and applied to many as well), especially when you are searching for dated ancestors.

Thanks Brian.  One of my few yDNA matches is to a descendant of George August Timmins.  So the name variation is very clearly one of my options.  However, searching for Charles Timmins hasn't resolved my problem YET.  I continue to search all available avenues.  I suspect the generation of his parents is the point at which the Timmons/Timmins and/or McTimmons all split up.
