My first husband's father was "Doc" Bailey, from Summerfield, LA. He married Nannie Jane Bishop. Their children's names were Martha, Mary Jane, (one death), Earl Joseph, Sim Bailey, Sr( whom I married in 1959), Alta Faye, Harry Gene and Harold Dean (twins). They moved to Haynesville, LA in the 1950's from Hollyridge. They ran a dairy farm there. I don't know any of Doc's family. I think he had a half-brother who lived in Shongaloo, LA
Nannie, my mother-in-law, had several siblings, among them Eamon Biship, Willie Biship, Claudia Bishop Lewis.
I want my children to know their roots.
