Scan-A-Thon 2020 - Sandringham Strollers Chat

Question

In January 2020 WikiTree the second Scan-A-Thon event  will happen. Now is the time you scan photos and documents to add to profiles. There is a limit of 10 uploads to each profile. (or free space page)

The event starts Friday morning, January 10, at 8 AM (ET) and runs until Monday, January 13, at 8 AM (ET). (Eastern Eastern Standard Time is GMT -5.) The 10 participants who upload the most original images over the 72-hour period will get a Scan-a-Thon Winner badge, as will all the participants of the winning team. 

There will be video chats every few hours with updates on how the event is going and prize drawings. Winners will receive their choice of a Scan-a-Thon t-shirt or mug.

I was at 6, added four more and now I'm reading four.  It's all gone a bit Pete Tong.  Can't see the discord channel for the Strollers either.

I’ve added a couple of small gedcom’s since the previous scan-a-thon and have currently held back with the images, saving them for this 2020 event ... looking forward to taking part.

Thanks Janet & Gillian,

 I’m going to be working on two areas I think:  Truebloods: early family photographs to add.  And in the Tudor period the Cromwell, Spencer and Syne families for the Muppets:  Going to add a few portraits, house images there.  Need to do some prep to make a folder of unadded pictures.

I maybe don’t have the same permissions that I used to, or I’ve forgotten how to add you. I’ve asked a couple of people, but you could ask someone to add you too. Hopefully we’ll get you all sorted.

We have had a fantastic day, despite some of our uploads going astray we have reached 400 uploads.

I will be signing out shortly as time for some zzz.  Australia is waking up so Gillian will be joining us soon.  See you all tomorrow

This morning we are on 1,412 additions. A huge thank you to you all, especially to Lesley and David.

Our final figure once adjusted for the over 10 uploads to a profile was - 1,674

We had 2,217  on the score board, lots of new profiles added and profile improved so thanks for a job well done
