Have you registered for our 2020 Scan-a-Thon yet? [closed]

Question

In January we will have our second annual 72-hour scanning marathon, to parallel our fun and successful annual Source-a-Thon, Clean-a-Thon, and Connect-a-Thon.

Our mission: to scan and share all those old family photos and other items we've been meaning to get to!

The party starts Friday morning, January 10, at 8 AM (ET) and runs until Monday, January 13, at 8 AM (ET). (Eastern Standard Time is GMT -5.) We're encouraging genealogists from all over the world to participate at the same time.

Will you join us?

To register, just click the ANSWER button and say "Sign me up!" or whatever and include a few words about your location or genealogical interests.  This will enable us to match you with a team.

If you're already part of a team from a previous challenge and want to stay on it, mention that. Not all teams are available for the Scan-a-Thon so you may not end up on the same one. The current teams are listed here. More may be added.

I'll be there. I'll be focusing on the family photos I have and a couple of documents I have. All family from Michigan (my tree isn't connected to many other trees yet. I'll be signing up for sourceathon, too. :) )

I'll be participating. I have barely started adding my family and it seems most of them so far do not connect to many other trees. Should be fun! I'll be focusing on my family who lived in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania. and the Netherlands (further back in the States if I have time).

Karen -- I don't think the answer to Lisa Murphy's question is yes.  You can still join in the fun if you can scan pictures, letters or even things you own that relate to a profile on WikiTree.  It doesn't count to scan a copy of a death certificate or marriage license that you don't actually own.

I'm in again with the Cornbread Catchers.  

Although I secretly call the team the Bug Catchers because we all caught the genealogy bug!  Ha ha.  Much easier to remember and it has a connection to genealogy.  Feel free to join me.  You can be a secret Bug Catcher too.

Just recently, i've actually been (both) scanning family photos as well as trying to obtain them from other family members too. I've even been lucky in locating some of them (of course confirming them as well) from other sources as well.

I actually checked your team out yesterday and wasn't sure about it yet as it doesn't include NY.

Though, it does include (for the most part) much of where my family lived and immigrated too like Canada, NH, MA, etc...

There is a Mid-Atlantic Team which used to be a New York Team, but spread out to include most of the Eastern Seaboard, and we allow you to work on whatever it is you like. We'd love to have you Brian.
