Were there any Trammell slave owners in Texas around Henderson Co. or Athens ?

G W (aka G M) Trammel (one "L") of Rusk County, Texas would be the closest to Henderson County. He appears in both the 1850 and 1860 Slave Schedules. He is listed with ~20 slaves ranging from 1 to 50 years of age.

If you are particular about the spelling, then you will have to expand outside of Texas some...

Somewhere -- in an archival holding somewhere, that is, there's slave census 1850, 1860

Likewise there will be at least some papers relating to sale / purchase of slaves in some repository ref to Texas

I'm supposing here that there are Historical associations and organizations online ref to Texas history that would have info on where you can look or they might even be able to give you some info directly
