If the information on the profile about the Hopewell is correct, then I would think so, since there was only one man named Robert Chambers who came on the Hopewell. https://archive.org/details/originallistsofp00hottuoft/page/130
thanks Anne.  I'll check out the info on the Hopewell and then proceed as I usually do.

The original intent of that profile, it appears, was to be the Robert from Scotland. Anderson shows Robert Chambers as living in Marshfield, and likely dying by 1655, never having married or had children. The new profile for the PGM Robert Chambers is Robert Chambers (PGM), and relevant sources from Anderson, etc. have been added to this new profile.

Robert Chambers came to America/NY in 1766 with his brother and ended up in western VA.  As I understand the Great Migration, it occurred much earlier that that.  So I don't think this Robert Chambers fits that.

Thank you for your comment, Bill, but after reviewing the bio of Chambers-2321 again, I note it says "At age 13 in 1635 can be found entering Boston, MA on the ship Hopewell."  It also mentions the reign of Charles II and James II both of which occurred earlier than 1766.
A post to the Chambers mailing list by James V Chambers says "I have just returned from Edinburgh, Scotland and visited the General Registry Office of Scotland. They have all recorded birth and marriage records dating back to 1553. In searching their on-line data base I found that Robert Chambers of Falkirk did marry a Marioun Cloggie on June 30, 1640 BUT THEY DID NOT have any children. Robert Chambers was married again June 6, 1645 in Falkirk to a Christian Wilson(e) and she is the mother to John Chambers, born November 11, 1649. This is the ONLY SON Robert Chambers had. Alexander and Peter Chambers have different parents. Benjamin's name did not appear in the Scottish records for this period." ("Re: Chambers: Robert, Alexander, James Alexander, etc," 20 Nov 2008, [https://lists.rootsweb.com/hyperkitty/list/chambers.rootsweb.com/thread/33422019/])

This is supported by marriage records for Robert Chambers and Marioun Cloggie and for Robert and his second wife Christine Wilson in "Scotland, Marriages, 1561-1910" at FamilySearch.org.
