Alonzo H (Holcomb-2149) Birth/death records

+3 votes
I am having trouble finding official records for the birth or death of Alonzo H (Holcomb-2149), b. 20 Oct 1799, Richmond Mass, d. 27 Sep 1891, Topeka Kansas.

Alonzo was the son of James (Holcomb-1472) and Irene/Irena (Williams-80192) Holcomb.

Any help or direction would be appreciated!

BTW -- Herman Holcomb appears to have no relationship to Alonzo H. Holcomb or at least I saw none --

HOWEVER -- the FAG Site states "Find A Grave Index," database, FamilySearch( : 27 July 2019), Alonzo Holcomb, 1891; Burial, Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States of America, Topeka Cemetery; citing record ID 12946229, Find a Grave,

There is an 1880 census record to use to cite DOB

"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch( : 12 August 2017), Alonzo Holcomb in household of William S Curry, Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district ED 9, sheet 176A, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), FHL microfilm 1,254,397

It may be a case where only several census and a burial record will be found to support his DOB, DOD ... and uncommon but not unheard of situation, usually ref to women

Herman was a typo! Thanks for the reply. Most of what you have cited I already have, but thanks again.
Not a problem, I also looked at what you had over at Family Search (LOL) which is why that much was located (you put it there)
