Can't sign Honor Code

Question

Hi, I volunteered to help WikiTree, but I'm not yet allowed to sign the Honor Code.
How long do you normally have to wait before being able to sign it?
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Stefano,

You should now be able to sign the Honor Code. Welcome to the community!

The reason you couldn't sign it before is that a Greeter hadn't confirmed your membership. That's the final step to a permanent membership, after registering and volunteering. I know it seems like a lot of steps but we've found it's the best way to make sure people are serious.
