About how far are you from Wall Drug?

Question

Today I learned about Ted Hustead, the owner of Wall Drug, and fixed up his profile (including adding sources and stuff - thanks Gene for opening him up!). Hopefully we can get some parents and grandparents on here soon.

However, I noted something I found interesting in the bio - there are signs at important places stating how far away you are from Wall Drug, the drugstore that made him notable. So I thought it would be fun to figure out how close we all are (with or without rounding!).

For example, I’m approximately 1,700 miles from Wall Drug. That’s exactly 26 hours of continuous driving...

500 miles.  Drove past 5 times...stopped only once...couldn't find the 5 cent coffee advertised on their road signs!

Having been there once in 1991, this caught my eye. Quite a place! I'm 1551 miles from there now; 24 hours driving time.

I live 1,570 miles away, but am currently on vacation, so right now 1,990 miles away.

1042 miles.  I was there in the middle 1970s.  While driving across country, I kept seeing the signs, "850 miles to Wall Drug", "120 miles to Wall Drug", etc.  By the time I got to Wall, I had to see this drug store.  At that time, there actually was a drug store, as well as ice cream, trinkets, tri-color gold jewelry, and other little connected shops.  A lot of fun to see even back in the 1970s.
